New Program

Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in School Psychology

The Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in School Psychology will provide masters-level professionals from related fields with school-based experience the necessary training, coursework, and experiences to apply for Texas licensure as a school psychologist.This program aligns with Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists requirements for school psychology licensure. Upon completion of this program, students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to competently perform school psychological services and support overall student outcomes.

Admission Requirements

1. Conferred master’s degree from a regionally accredited institute of higher education documented on an official transcript with a minimum of 30 graduate hours.
2. Resident of Texas or preparing to work in Texas.
3. Three years of school-based experience (public and/or private LEAs).
4. Be in good standing with the employer as evidenced by supervisor attestation.
5. Required interview to be accepted into the program.
