Emphasis on representative genres (including Tin Pan Alley, Blues, Country and Western, Big Band, Rock and Roll, Rhythm and Blues, Punk, Heavy Metal, and Hip Hop), characteristics, styles and performers. May be used to satisfy University Requirements.
