BIOL 203 - Biology for Elementary Teachers Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2 Credit Hours: 3 Terms Offered: Spring, even years
A survey of the fundamental principles of life, including the structure of cells and cellular metabolism, basic heredity and adaptation, diversity and life cycles of plants and animals, and ecology with an emphasis on applications to scientific inquiry for elementary teachers. Laboratory work is incorporated and credited with the course. For education majors only. Prerequisite: MATH 237 or Math ACT score of 20 or MATH SAT score of 530. Course fee.
