Survey of cinema from the silent era to today with an emphasis on fluency in cinematic language, genre, and production. Film studies represent more than simply looking at movies through a literary lens but learning to see how different filmmakers approach the fusion of image, sound, and story. Prerequisite: Completion of sophomore literature requirement. Same as ENGO 332.
