Introduction

The Dukes School of Finance offers the Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance. A minor in business is available to non-BBA majors.

The Dukes School of Finance began in 2023 with a generous gift from the estate of Dr. William P. and Janie B. Dukes. Their aim was to glorify God by encouraging others with influence and ability to love God and love their neighbor, blessing the world.

To help students better tailor their undergraduate program to eventual career goals, the Dukes School of Finance offers four specialized tracks within the finance major:

  • The Financial Analysis track prepares students to be able to analyze projects, companies and assets for potential investment.
  • The Financial Management track prepares students for many different finance careers.
  • The Fintech and Analytics track prepares students for careers spanning the fields of finance and business analytics, introducing them to tools used in fintech.
  • The Wealth Management track prepares students to advise clients on their personal and business financial plans.

Scholarships and Internships

Outstanding scholarship opportunities, such as the Dukes Scholarship, are available for students with strong academic credentials who demonstrate promise for success in finance. Students with financial need are also encouraged to apply. All scholarship inquiries should be directed to the College of Business Administration.

Student participation in internships is an important aspect of the hiring decision of potential employers. Excellent internship opportunities are available for qualified students. Professional Development staff within the College of Business Administration are available to help students prepare for and arrange meaningful internship opportunities.

Study Abroad Expectations

All students are encouraged to participate in ACU’s Study Abroad program. Classes offered at Study Abroad sites vary depending on the site. Additional travel opportunities are available through the Dukes School of Finance or the College of Business Administration. Academic advisors can assist students in planning ahead for their Study Abroad experience and should be consulted during the freshman year.
